The areas of offsite damage, which the Board ordered the operator to reclaim in accordance with the details in the permit
area's reclamation plan, were reviewed with the operator. Two main areas of work still remain: surface grading on the
level areas and sloped areas (which will ensure adequate drainage controll, and revegetation. The Board Order states that
work is to be carried out durino the vear 2000 construction season. and is to begin no later than October 31 2000. None
of the specified work had been started yet at the time of the inspection. The operator stated that work would actually
begin on the day following this inspection (October 27, 20001. Rather than having the Division repeatedly monitor the
onsite oroaress via numerous inspections, the operator should document the start of work and subsequent oroaress with
photos. These may be submitted to the Division at the end of the required reclamation oroiect. (Please note that the
inadequate drainage controls noted above must be included in the Board-ordered reclamation.)
