North Area drillholes: A seazch was made for drillholes in the North area of the permit.
Right at County Road 12, just north of fence, are 8 drillholes. 79-61 and AH-1 show 30-inch
high pvc riser, capped. 40 feet west of AH-1 is a well, riser broken off, surrounded by fence
posts and fencing, with the casing open but covered by a lazge rock. Right in the axis of the
draw is a well with 8" of aluminum casing, with no markings.
Between the stream channel and the fence are 4 wells. One is a casing with the pvc riser broken
off. It has no markings, and the drillhole appears to be filled. Right next to it is a well labeled
DH- ?, consisting of 4' high pvc capped, surrounded by fence posts. Wells 32 and 33 aze right
next to the fenceline at country road 12. They consist of 3-foot high pvc, capped, one about 18'
to water.
Holes 79-47 and 79-48 aze located about 200 yards uphill from Pond G. These consist of 2 to 3'
high pvc riser capped within a 6" casing. Both are mantled by fencing with fenceposts to protect
them from cattle.
#20 is 300' NNW of those drillholes - 4' high, cememted in; adjacent to it is DH-3B, 2' high
pvc, open, shallow.
East 200 yards is another cluster. #26 is open pvc to water, about 15' deep estimated, and #27
(35' east of #26) also open pvc to water, about 15' deep.
Xl is 30' east of #27 and same description.
150' north is AV-1. The riser is broken off and the well is open.
120' NE of AV-1 is X-4, well is open, estimate 20' deep, dry.
50' north of X-4 are two wells in a small unnamed draw. X-6, with 4' high pvc riser, capped,
X5, 4' high, 4" pvc open to water, estimated at 10' deep.
300 feet down the the unnamed draw from XS/X6 cluster (where draw opens into Williams
Draw), found wells AL-2, 4' high capped pvc; #23, 4' high pvc riser open to water (estimated
at about 20' deep). On the opposite side (north side) of the mouth of that unnamed draw is AL-1
- broken off pvc, which sounds as if it's been filled. Next to that is broken pvc riser (with no
label on it) lying with tires whose presence seems to chazacterize most of the holes; but no
drillhole could be located.
800 yards NE of XS/X6 are 3 wells at top of hill. 79-25 is 3' high capped pvc riser. AK-2 is 4"
pvc open to water at estimated 35' depth. AK-1 is cemented casing with pvc riser inside, open
but sounds very shallow.
300' NE of that cluster is 79-20, 3' high capped pvc riser surrounded by fencing. Went to the
top of the hill NE of 79-20 and could see no more wells to the north.
