The top of the pile was dry. <br />Refuse on top of the pile has been graded out. The east face of the pile <br />appeared stable and there was no significant gullying of the slope that <br />has been topsoiled. The ditch at the base of the pile was in good shape. <br />The operator explained that the area that failed compaction tests during <br />the 2"d quarter 2002 has been successfully re-tested. <br />Support Facilities <br />No problems were found in the following areas: yard area, explosives <br />magazine, belt-outback, million gallon tank, and hazardous materials <br />storage area. <br />Subsidence <br />The ground surface in the area of the east end of panel 14 Right was <br />inspected for any signs of subsidence. No evidence was found. No <br />structures or renewable resource lands were undermined in this area. <br />4 <br />
