New Elk Mine. roe. 2 <br />We inspected the reclaimed former powder house area and reclaimed core house area. These <br />areas aze stable and no surface water runoff problems were noted. Post mining topography is flat <br />to gently rolling and stable. There was some water impounded in containment pond 1. This pond <br />is stable with no problems noted. <br />We inspected areas reclaimed in 2003 including the former pond 5 area and SW coal stockpile <br />azeas. These areas are stable, meet post mining topography requirements, and no surface water <br />runoff problems were noted. <br />The south and west slopes of the development waste pile were also reclaimed in 2003. These <br />slopes aze stable, and surface water runoff is controlled by sediment ponds 4 & 7. This concluded <br />the evaluations. <br />We held a brief close out meeting, and no problems were noted.
