From Rule
4.11.4:
Final disposal of noncoal wastes shall be in a designated disposal site in the permit area or
in aState-approved solid waste disposal area outside the permit area. Disposal sites
located within the permit area shall be constructed to ensure that leachate and surface
runoff do not degrade surface or ground water, fires aze prevented, and that the area
remains stable and suitable for reclamation compatible with the natural surroundings.
The disposal of sheet metal such as trailer walls or siding on a fill surtace may
create a slip surface that would jeopardize the final stability of the fill. Also,
material that may compact over time from rotting may have the same effect.
The Division is currently reviewing the inventory but rough estimates show that
the reclamation liability has been reduced to below the current bond of $36,000.
Records were checked in Gunnison. All records were found to be in order.
