Area 3 encompasses areas that were seeded August 31. 2001. This area lies on private
land (Lazy H Ranch) separated by a fence to the north end of the thermal event area. The
portion of the bond release area is graded very nicely back into the existing topography. The
vegetation is good, estimated visually at 50-60% cover This area also will need an addition
to the permit to confirm it can be managed as a small area exemption without alternative
sediment control. The regrading of the slope is excellent and
the vegetation was very good. (It appeared that areas of steep slope and on top of hills were
avoided by the cattle that grazed the lower, flatter areas heavily.) The area will need a
demonstration to justify management as a small area exemption without alternative sediment
control features.
