Ponds A, B, and H
di charged but Pond C had no discharge. Discharge results at the mine office
in~icated that Pond A discharged at 12,5 gal/min., Pond S at 12.0 gal/min „ and
Pod H at 18.75 gal/min. Water quality samples were taken and were at the lab For
analysis. The operator stated the sampling results would be sent to the Division.
Th s was the first time any of the ponds had dis>charged.
A1~ ponds were inspected and are in good condition.
lJa~er was ponding in the ditch on the southwest side of topsoil stockpile A. It
appears that the water will overtop the ditch before it flows into the sediment
pond. The operator should establish a positive drainage on the southwest side
of stockpile A.
4_Q__6 Topsoil
Th operator is salvaging topsoil from the east dump areas and stockpiling it in
to soil stockpiles A and C. Topsoil islands have been left to allow determination
of ',the depth of topsoil.
Thy operator plans to strip topsoil across from the shop/office area this fall.
Th$ horseshoe dump will then progress into that area.
