In a study done in the late '90s, it wits simply
referred to as "Lamb (fiomc Ollitt 1'it)." It could be a part of:Mine 1_and Pcrntit No.
~1 .'439. or M774~10. In 1997, the Home Office Pit was in active mining, was a
processing plant site, was anticipated for crnnplction in 1999+;-, and bait augmentation
Lability. The specific pond we arc acquiring, which is across the river li•om the main
l luntc Ollice Pit, from what 1 am told, was used primarily as a "wash pit" (although Iherc
probably was some mining al one tune). Phis pit is no lonscr being mined. I've
highlighted the site on the enclose) map taken Gom the '90s study document. It's a very
poor quality map, so I'm also including a map that provides a bit more orientation, in
se that is helpful.
Can you help me detemtine whether the mining pcrntit has been closed out on this Ix~nd?
If E should direct this question to someone else, please Ict me know,
Sincerely,
~.`
~~~~~~J
-,:
I.U It 1 ,rlc i1V
Sr. Environmental Planner
