2 <br />2 <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Vegetation <br />The main haul road cut and fill slopes are greening up. Most of the slopes are fairly well <br />vegetated. However, a few slopes are only beginning to develop grasses. The coverfill <br />stockpile is beginning to have some vegetation established. <br />The operator has had a contractor spray for weeds. [n some cases, weeds were physically <br />pulled out. A lot of the weeds have begun to wilt. However, there are a few places that <br />need to be sprayed. There was thistle on the water tank bench. At the main topsoil, <br />whitetop, bind weed and hounds tongue plants were found. <br />The operator is planning to reseed some of the cut and fill slopes. <br />Slope Stability <br />There were no signs of slope instability for any of the cut or fill slopes. During the <br />inspection, some rock and dirt slid offof the top section of the cliff that lies just to the <br />east of the portal bench area. <br />Records <br />The records were checked and found to be in compliance.
