Hydrologic Balance <br />All ponds at the site held water <br />due to recurrent and recent <br />snowmelt. Pond 8 held water to <br />the bottom of the principle <br />spillway riser (see photo). <br />Pond 5 was holding a significant <br />amount of water, Remote <br />inspection indicated the pond <br />was discharging due to <br />snowmelt. Pond embankments <br />were generally snow covered but <br />by the 13'", much of the snow <br />cover had melted. <br />Support Facilities <br />Road graders continue to park in <br />the office area. This area is a <br />small area exemption and is <br />remains the responsibility of the <br />mine operator to maintain. <br />.~ <br />r <br />=n; <br />'~ <br />O , <br />Toosoil <br />The topsoil pile reshaping noted in last month's inspection has been completed. Additional <br />topsoil signs the swale that separates the two piles were not observed. <br />Slides and Damage <br />A settlement crack or slump has <br />developed on the north-facing <br />portion of the center core above <br />the haul road (see upper center <br />of photo).
