We appreciate your
inspections and visits and comments on our compliance with
regulations.
With changing market conditions, we have had to remain
flexible in our long range goals and have been planning some
future activities these past few months.' The most significant
issue is our desire to expand our gravel reserves by identifying
and permitting aggregate extraction from areas adjacent to the
current permitted area.
W~`"~rT~l'^~'e"~sdb'Sirf'£`tz'rig`~"Miis~r~`P3'a`fi'''Yor our entire +56
acres and adjacent properties to the La Plata County Planning
Department in early October. This Plan will detail our future
plans for property acquisition, access, visual mitigation, etc.
It will also identify our desire to create a more permanent
gravel extraction and processing business on our currently owned
and potentially owned properties.
By submitting a Master Plan to the County for our area,
we will be requesting an overall land use designation to Qperate
our business at this site. We will then submit applications
for gravel mining permits and amendments to the existing
permit from yourselves as our needs develop.
Although the nature of the gravel mining business is
temporary, we wish to create a permanent business in the area
.. ,~..,,,..~ ...•..., ~, .. x
