REVEGETATION
Yard Area
Berms surrounding the former facilities yard are in good condition. There are no problems with the
bathhouse. The yard area is well-vegetated.
The operator has removed the discarded electric motor and other debris that was noted in previous
inspection reports 75 feet west of the yard area, beneath the willow trees approximately 100 feet south
of County Rd. 29.
SLIDES AND DAMAGE
Office SAE
The backfilled slope appears stable with no new slumping or sliding evident. The small scarp at the
top of the old slump on the east side of the channel is vegetated and appears stable.
The operator has completed repair work on the channel that extends down the middle of the fill slope.
Gabion baskets have been installed to replace the lower 100 feet or so of textile liner that rested a few
inches above the underlying channel surface. Water had been piping beneath the liner.
The rectangular baskets are made of approximately 6 gauge steel wire and appear to be a good
replacement for the ineffective liner. Angular rocks approximately 6 inches in diameter fill the
baskets; the baskets are set end-to-end in an excavated part of the channel. The old liner was left in
place on the banks of the channel where vegetation is growing through the liner. Rocks were placed
to fill the voids between the baskets and the channel banks.
Approximately 2 cubic yards of rock and dirt were left at the toe of the channel and should be removed
unless there is a use for the material.
Fan SAE
No problems were found in the area of the former fan portal.
Portal Bench
Fallen rocks litter the bench area but no new rock falls are evident.
Page 4
