Flarry Kenney
Carbon Junction Mine Inspectbn Reports
Page 2
October 1, 2003 Inspection Report
The mine identification sign is being updated to reflect current information.
Under the approved Four Corners Materials amendment that was not finalized through
submission of a reclamation bond, Pond 1 was to be the responsibility of Four Corners
Materials. As such the Pond was no longer the responsibility of Oakridge Energy. With
the current state of flux in responsibility for struchues, I will investigate the location of the
DMR. It is my understanding that Four Comers Materials has this information.
The rock check dams fo~Pond 2"will be repaired prior to the end of the month.
Potential impoundment of water on the previously reclaimed spoil area was addressed
above.
North Pit backfill will be stabilized as necessary.
The CDMG implication that there is no longer an on-site representative or anyone to deaf
with on-site problems is a spurious characterization at best. CDMG is fully aware of
Oakridge Energy contacts, including Ms. Pautsky, myself, and Goff Engineering. All are
available, at contact numbers well known to CDMG to address concerns.
With regard to Technical Revision 12, while we have received an adequacy review, we
have not received an initial completeness letter, therefore we are concerned with
responding to the adequacy review without following the review and notification
procedures as set forth in the CDMG regulations.
If you have any questions or require any additional information please feel free to call me.
Sincerely, _
Michael S. Savage
Principal
cc: Sandra Pautsky, Oakridge Energy
Bryan Duff, Goff Engineering and Surveying
