•
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #
INSPECTION DATE 06/01/94
(Page 3) •
M-77-560
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS RCO
east pit for creating a slurry with the silt (waste) of the newly mined material, then
pumping the slurry back to the west pit (pond) and filling a portion of it. That portion to
be filled is apparently almost entirely within the unpermitted corner of the pond. This will
require that the 7.22 acres become part of the permitted area, if it too is to be affected.
It ie probably feasible and most convenient to modify the proposed expansion (amendment)
application to reflect this additional area. (If the area and facilities referred to above,
as possibly needing to be included in the permit area are to be considered also, this may be
done in the same modification.)
The applicant is reminded that all significant changes to the application must be filed with
the county for public review. At this point, depending upon how extensive the cumulative
changes to the proposal are, the applicant may have to republish all notices.
There were no problems noted in the proposed expansion area during this inspection.
I 6 E Contact Address
NAME Larrv Pieoer
OPERATOR Valco Inc
STREET P.O.
