The recently reclaimed areas known as coal stockpile d14 and non-coal material <br />storage area show good signs of revegetation. Various grasses, annual weeds, and <br />a volunteer cover crop provide litter cover, in addition to mulch applied during <br />reseeding efforts. until vegetation becomes better established. <br />Subsidence <br />The chimney collapse over a portal at the West Mine has re-opened due to storm <br />runoff. This feature has been repaired three times in the past. The chain link <br />fence surrounding the repaired area was not damaged and was found in good <br />condition. able to prevent accidental entry by man or beast. A plan to more <br />permanently seal this opening should be developed prior to repairing this feat.rr~.. <br />Overall. the site aoneared in good condition for t.hP late srmrmr seasnn- <br />
