,air of the stock tanks at the Seneca I1-W mine were full of sediment, and require cleaning. Along the G-haul road, the rock spillway on T-22 was washed out, and has not changed since the last inspection. Some minor repairs on the G-road were noted, but extensive erosion has occurred on all road ditches and permanent drainages. All of this disturbance was noted in the previous inspection report, and is collected in Pond 005. The haul road G ditches have down cut roughly 2 feet to 5 feet above G-5 culvert. The natural drainage above and below G-5 culvert has eroded to a depth ranging from 5 feet to 10 feet. This entire drainage requires repair. The ditch above Culvert G-3 has down cut roughly 1 to 2 feet and requires repairs. The operator has yet to completely install therip-rap on the B-Pit NOV drainage. Rock has been piled, but weather conditions have delayed reestablishing the drainage. The entre drainage on the B Pit needs to be repaired. Heavy rains have dovvncutted the channel to a depth of 2 feet. The lower portion of 006 drainage also needs to be repaired. Heavy rains have washed the rock Crom the channel. Backf'illing & Gradine Backfilling and grading in the A-Pit appears to be complete for this year. The C-Pit has not been backfdled. The operator should make note that the bacl<filling & grading map shows the C-Pit to be wmpleted in 1997. Previous backf'illed slopes appear stable. Numerous erosion features were noted throughout the backfilled azea with the heavy precipitation this year. Repays should be made m acwrdance with the rill and gully plan. Explosives Explosive storage units were property secured and signs posted. T i Topsoil has been stripped in advance of the A Pit and placed in existing topsoil piles. Once the piles are complete, a temporary seed mix should be applied and signs put in place. It appears that all of the topsoil placed on regraded areas this year was live handled. Some additional topsoil needs to be removed in the upper A-Pit Area. It does not appear that all of the topsoil has been removed from this area. Topsoil depths were verified in portions of the 1996 and 1997 reclaimed aeeas. The GPS was used to determine the azea of topsoil replacement as well as the sample locations. The GPS information will be provided to the operator once the data is compiled.
