III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />It appears that topsoil has recently (since the last inspection) been replaced on the slide area <br />above Pond 012. Al] sediment pond structures were stable and no problems were noted at any of <br />the pond locations. <br />The lower Annand Draw drainage was inspected. The rock check dams have silted in, but appear <br />to be controlling the erosion in the drainage channel. Likewise the drainage below Pond O11A <br />has some siltation occurring in the check dams but overall the drainage remains stable, with no <br />signs of significant erosion. <br />Reve~etation <br />At the Pond 014 embankment, Houndstongue and Canada Thistle were identified. There is also <br />a substantial amount of large thistle (possibly Bull Thistle) growing between Ponds 013 and 014 <br />above the Pond 014 side slope to the north. Please continue to control the growth of troublesome <br />weeds throughout the mine site. <br />
