ADDITIONAL RECORDS
SIGNS AND MARKERS The damaged (vandalized) Permittee identification sign at the entrance
of the road to the Stony Ridge Air Shaff needs to be replaced. Signposts at the permit
boundary on the Middle Thompson road had been severed, but were placed upright against
the cut bank of the road. Other signage was in good repair. Areas of disturbance markers
(green steel pickets with white tops) were in place.
ROADS All but permanent roads have been reclaimed, The permanent road onto the mine
site at the Portal 1 facilities area (see Photograph 203gm) had some minor rutting at the
switchback. The permanent road from Garfield County Road 108 to the loadout area had
been disturbed by the landowner to place culverts (irrigation ditches) across the road.
Otherwise Phis road was in good shape, as was the storage pad (paved turn-around and
conveyor on-load site). Hay and straw was being stored on the pad.
The Stony Ridge Fan Shaff road has been permitted as a permanent feature, as has the bridge
on this road across North Thompson Creek. The bridge is (permitted) in disrepair, sufficient only
for foot traffic for inspections of the road and the reclaimed Stony Ridge Fan Shaff. The road
(now a trail) is rocky and has been seeded. There was no problem erosion. Cut and fill slopes
were stable,
C-81-025, Page ~ of /~) Pages, (date) °j Cam.,.
