III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the }acts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />dryer. It does not appear to be a problem for now. Other pond inslopes and outslopes were stable. <br />All pond spillways were operational. Gated valves were closed. <br />Culverts at the mine site were functional. Ditches were also functional, although some <br />maintenance is needed at several locations. A large wooden spool needs to be removed from the <br />road ditch just down from the water tank bench. The inner road ditch on the way up to the water <br />tank bench needs touching up. <br />Straw bales and silt fence were also functional. However, there are two locations in the silt fence <br />below pond B, and one location at the temporary parking lot south of the highway, which will <br />need attention soon. Also,.it would probably be a good idea to place straw bales at the outlets to <br />the two downhill conveyor belt sump overflow pipes. <br />Records <br />The records were found to be in compliance. <br />c:/ms97/bow ie2/insp0101 b <br />
