III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Culvert no. 1, in the West Ridge area drainage needs a little maintenance. Due to the <br />recent rains, some debris has accumulated at the entrance grate of the culvert. The debris <br />is not much but could get worse later. The culvert is still functional. The operator had <br />scheduled to clean out the culvert inlet in the next day or two. <br />Reclamation <br />The operator was in the process of spraying weeds. Canadian thistle seemed to occur in <br />spots throughout the mine site. <br />The operator had received an NOV for erosion in the moffat downdrain no. 3. The <br />erosion control fabric will be replaced with riprap. The riprap in moffat downdrain no. 4 <br />was not holding up very well in places. <br />c:hvp61/edna/insp8l9 <br />
