• (Page 3) •
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1977-451
INSPECTION DATE 12/6/00 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS WHE
Financial Warranty As noted above, financial warranty for the operation totals $17,718. DMG
has reviewed the current cost of reclamation and has determined that a $15,969 reduction in the
amount of financial warranty is appropriate for successful completion of reclamation backfill,
grading and topsoil replacement. However, DMG reclamation cost estimation indicates that DMG
must retain $1 ,749 financial warranty to ensure successful establishment of an appropriate
vegetative cover. Please find enclosed, copy of DMG's 12/13/00 reclamation cost estimation.
Pursuant to Rule 4.2.1 (8), the amount of financial warranty held by DMG could be reduced to
$100, providing that the $8,000 reclamation bond with the DOE remains intact. DMG accepted
the DOE bond as financial warranty under TR-01 . Therefore, should the operator provide
documentation to DMG, verifying that the DOE bond remains intact, DMG will accept $100
financial warranty. If the operator cannot verify that the DOE bond remains intact, DMG will
accept $1,749 financial warranty.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to the Division of Minerals and Geology, 701
Camino del Rio, Room 125, Durango, Colorado 81301, Attn: Wally Erickson, phone no. 970-247-
5469.
I & E Contact Address cc: Tom Gillis, DMG
❑ CE
NAME Dave Diss ❑ BLM
OPERATOR Cotter Corporation ❑ FS
STREET P.O.
