BACKFILL AND GRADING
Backfil[ing and grading was advancing behind the pit.
Explosives are not stored on the site. They are delivered from a nearby supplier when needed.
SUPPORT FACILITIES
No problems were found in the facilities area. Spill barriers surround above-surface fuel tanks.
AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION
No dust problems were found during the inspection.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS: Vegetation on reclaimed areas was in good shape throughout the mine. No
problems were found on the site.
The operator has previously requested release of the bond associated with exploration holes that were drilled under
NOI X-2001-]42-07. The 18 holes drilled under this NO[ were inspected for adequate topsoil depths, revegetation
(including weed control), erosional stability, and drillhole sealing. The mineral and surface ownership in the the area
covered by the NOI is private. The land-use is pasture and alfalfa hay land. Representative reclaimed holes are
shown in the attached photographs. The attached table summarizes the results of the inspection of each hole. All
holes were found to be adequately reclaimed and support a Ending to release the reclamation bond associated with
them.
4
