The following are <br />observations of this 25.5 acre 112 site. <br />1) Signs and boundary markers are in place as required by the Rules, <br />2) Measurements were taken of the process building (15'x54'x20') measured by pacing the sides <br />and using an Abney Level to find the height. An estimate for demolitions costs is not <br />included in the current financial warranty; the cost for removing the building will be <br />calculated and added to the required bond. <br />3) All 25.5 acres lie north of the River, in the floodplain. However, none of the maps in the <br />file correctly portray the permit boundaries. A new map must be submitted in order to clarify <br />the acreage of the site. Should the Operator wish to expand the operation, an Amendment will <br />be necessary. (PB 1) <br />4) The smallest building (tool shop) is not included in the reclamation plan. A technical <br />revision to the permit needs to be done to include it, and either allow for its demolition <br />or being left in place on the property. (PB 2) <br />5) Much of the 25.5 acre site is disturbed. Riprap and berms are in place along the river, <br />with 1.5:1 and 3:1 slopes along the north side.The Operator is working with the Corps of <br />Engineers toward a more stable plan for this part of the site. <br />6) Topsoil has been stockpiled around the ponds, which will become part of a wildlife and <br />recreational habitat when the reclamation is complete. <br />The bond will be recalculated within two weeks to allow for the demolition costs to the main <br />process building. <br />I & E Contact Address <br />NAME Lester Crawford <br />OPERATOR Bear River Sand & Gravel. <br />STREET P.O.
