IV. ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS <br />Colowyo C-1981-01~.~., <br />16 November 2005 ~~' <br />The following identifies enforcement actions taken during this inspection, the required <br />abatement and date of abatement for the violation, previous violations still requiring <br />abatement and the termination of violations cited during previous inspections. <br />The Division issued Notice of Violation (NOV) CV-2004-001 to the Colowyo Coal <br />Company's (CCC) Colowyo Mine on 22 June 2004. The NOV was issued for <br />conducting mining operations on and removing coal from unleased federal lands <br />without proper State and Federal approvals, <br />The final step in the abatement for the violation was the submittal of a BLM lease for <br />the area. This was accomplished with the submittal and approval of Technical <br />Revision 60 (submitted on 2 September 2005 and approved on 11 October 2005).
