III. COMMENrS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the mspection The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action
This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of Minerals
and Geology (DMG). The weather was hot and ground conditions were dry. Rocks and
debris along the road approaching the site seemed to indicate rain had occurred within the
preceding 48 hours This mine has closed and reclamation of most areas is complete. I was
unaccompanied on this inspection.
Signs and Markers
The mine entry sign was found along the road entering the site, posted immediately upon
crossing the permit boundary. It was found in compliance with Rule 4.02 and Rule 4.30.2(3)
for mines in permanent cessation. Permit boundary markers were observed near pond 4
and along the north side of the reclaimed area, where they are part of the constructed fence.
These markers consist of orange fence posts.
_ ~`
SpUTtHF1ELD MANE '" `_
