III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below aze comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />loadout bin, need to be put back in place. The berm azound the fuel facility was <br />functional. The fuel tank that had been on the grizzly bench was moved to the material <br />storage bench to the east. There were no erosional gullies on the topsoil stockpile. The <br />topsoil sign was up. <br />East Mine <br />The portal bench was mostly snow-covered. The road was passable. However, the road <br />ditch leading from the warehouse bench level up to the portal bench will need <br />maintenance soon. There is a small quantity of oil that has been left in the fuel facility <br />concrete containment reservoir. This oil will be disposed of at a later time. The portal <br />highwall appeazed to be stable. <br />There was some snow on the wazehouse bench and on the crusher/screener bench. Some <br />broken up concrete and coal waste is being stored on the wazehouse bench while mining <br />equipment is being stored on the crusher/screener bench. There was no activity on either <br />bench. The diversion ditch on the west side of the warehouse bench had sufficient <br />capacity. Straw bales were in place at the east end of the backside diversion ditch on the <br />crusherlscreenerbench. The straw bales azound the drop inlet on the crusherJscreener <br />bench were in place but will need replacing soon. No signs of instability were observed <br />with either bench. <br />There were no new additions to the west ridge waste pile. The collection and diversion <br />ditches had sufficient capacity. The inlet to the culvert that leads to the west ridge waste <br />pile pond needs clearing due to several rocks. The culvert is still functional, however. <br />There was only some snow in the pond. The pond spillways were functional. <br />There was only some snow in each of ponds 1, 2, 3 and 4. The pond bin walls were <br />stable. Pond spillways were functional. The gated primazy discharge valve on pond 4 was <br />closed. The other ponds' primary dischazge valves were open. <br />Records <br />All of the records were in compliance.
