III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Processing Waste: <br />The gob pile expansion has been completed and is ready to receive waste. <br />Slides and Damage: <br />A minor slide is developing at the West Mine portal in the cut slope. Basil Bear stated that he <br />would correct this slide, as soon as the conditions are safe, in accordance with the permit. The <br />procedure for this correction can be found in MR 93-85, 2.05.5(3)(b) page 19C. <br />ther: <br />Please take under advisement the need to cleanup and remove some of the noncoal waste that is <br />accumulating in six sepazate locations. <br />According to "4.11.4 Disposal of Noncoal Waste", the waste "shall be placed and stored in a <br />controlled manner in a designated portion of the permit area." <br />It is pazamount to get this noncoal waste under control to ensure cumpliance with 4.11.4, and to <br />avoid an increse in the bond. <br />
