COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE ~an~l~j'Qr0 t~~C1 ~-~~~
Pia/~ [y/~~ of ~~
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
REVEGETATION/RECLAMATION SUCCESS: The "old" revegetation on the refuse pile is in good
condition. The strip that was reseeded early last spring also appears to have grown nicely
over the past summer. The portion of the refuse pile that was just covered and reseeded is
growing nicely. The vegetation at the loadout appears to be in good condition (it looks like
that of the surrounding areas).
Miscellaneous:
All of the conveyor system has been removed and the majority of it has been removed
from the site.
The operator was in the process of filling the portals. Three of the five entries are filled to
within 15 feet of the surface and the remaining two have been filled to within 30 feet of
the surface. It appears as though the operator has been using the rubilized concrete
mixed with dirt for the fill.
The South fan has been removed and parts of it are sitting in the east part of the facilities
area.
The operator is continuing work on the permanent Magpie Creek diversion.
It has been indicated that the operator will start to demolish the shop/warehouse/office
building soon.
