The problems should be corrected by the dates given, or they will become possible violations. The possible violations should be corrected by the dates given to reduce their severity when considered by the Mined Land Reclamation Board. The inspector noted on the previous page should be notified of all corrective actions taken. PROBLEMS/POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS CORRECTION DATE The clay pit operation and the one acre pit located in 9/22/94 the southwestern portion of the permit are not shown on PB or PV PB the mining plan map or included in the current mining TOPIC(S) AR.MP plan. Existing and proposed topsoil locations are not shown on the mining plan map. Final reclamation of the east pit may include a pond. The total acreage for this permit is not clear. Corrective Action: Submit revised mining and reclamation plans and maps which clarify the total acreage for this permit and show the activities described above. This must be submitted in the form of an amendment to the permit no later than September 22, 1994. There is a 0.5 acre pond in the east pit which may be 9/22/94 left after reclamation. PB or PV PB TOPIC(S) HB Corrective Action: Submit verification that the pond ie in compliance with the State Engineer (OSE) or backfill the pit. Alternatively, you can demonstrate that the water in the pond ie not exposed ground water. There are concerns that ground water being pumped from 9/22/94 the Leyden Coal Mine and used in this operation could PB or PV PB become contaminated from hazardous conet ituents TOPIC(S) AR,MP originating at the Rocky Flats Industrial Park to the north. Corrective Action: Obtain a groundwater discharge permit from the CDH or provide evidence such is not needed. Submit analytical data showing the water quality from Well f 12 and a plan for future analytical monitoring ae outlined in discussion item No. 6 no later than September 22, 1994. 4. There ie no verification in the file of a etormwater 9/22/94 management plan.
