III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Observations on erosion could not be made because of snow cover. Ponds #1 <br />and #2 were snow covered. !t could not be determined if there was ice in the <br />ponds. The well was capped. One concern was noted with the sign at the <br />entry to the mine. The signs were so weathered that they were illegible. <br />The signs should be replaced as soon as possible. A telephone call to <br />Slurco, the operator, was made and a commitment to replacing the sign <br />was given. <br />
