(Page 4)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1977-208
INSPECTION DATE 6/24/04
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS ESC
Pit c. is currently the disposal site for the CKD. The pit will ultimately be filled with
CKD, covered with overburden and topsoil. It will be reclaimed to an irrigated pasture.
A small pond was noted on the south end boundary of the C-Pit, which is not depicted on
the reclamation plan map. CEMEX will need to remove the pond or revise the reclamation
plan to keep the pond in place. The pond has a highwall on the south end, so the revised
plan will need to meet the requirements of Rule 3.1.5 of the Construction Materials Rules
and F:egulations.
Pit F; was mined and reclaimed to dryland pasture. Caribou Springs Ranch now owns the
site. The area was viewed by Hygiene Road, so it could not be determined if it conforms
to the approved reclamation plan.
Pit F was not disturbed by mining. Therefore the pond depicted on the reclamation plan
map does not exist. The permit can be revised to reflect this change.
In summary, CEMEX will need to revise the reclamation plan and map to reflect the current
conditions of the site and as noted above by October 1, 2004 or reclaim to the standards
of-the 1977 application and 1980 technical revision (C.R.S. 34-32.5-116 (4)(q) requires
that :Final reclamation be completed within 5 years after the date that mining has been
comple:ted).
