C
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #
INSPECTION DATE 09/12/96
(Page 2) •
M-84-036
The following observations were made during a routine inspection of t
1. Signs and boundary markers were posted ae required by the Rules.
2. At this time, the lake ie approximately 29.5 acres in size. It is
lake will be backfilled; pending direction from OSE, no action ie bE
enough fill oneite to complete this reclamation task at this time.
3. The mining and reclamation plane are being followed. No reclamation
oneite at this time. 34.d acres is being used ae a processing area;
approximate size of the lake; and 41.9 acres ie in the process of being
the topsoil stripped and trenches being dug along the southern boundary
S INITIALS CLK
open 112 pit.
that the entire
n. There ie not
work hoe been done
29.5 acres ie the
mined, with all of
4. Topsoil was stockpiled along the southern and western boundaries, as well ae in the
center of the new pit (measurements were also taken of the stockpiles alp g the western aide
of the pond, then multiplied by six to get an estimate of the soil etoc piled there, since
heavy traffic prevented direct measurement). Approximately 54,200 CY stored oneite was
measured at this time, enough to reclaim a disturbed area of 67.2 acres. The total acreage
of the site which will need topeoiling ie assumed (at this time) to b 71.3 acres. The
topsoil deficit is thus 3315 CY at this time (if 34.4 acres of process a ea will be ripped,
and not require re-topeoiling). DMG requires a current sample of the dirt currently covering
the processing area, ae proof that the area will not need to be re-cove ed with topsoil.
5. The bond will be recalculated based on the topsoil deficit, and reclamation tasks to be
finished (including backfilling the pond) in approximately two weeks.
I 6 E Contact AddresB
NAME Chris Varra
OPERATOR Varra Companies, inc.
STREET 2130 S. 96th St.
CITY/STATE/ZIP Broomfield.
