<br />II: Compliance with Colorado Surface Coal Mi n.inv 1iccloma t.ion Act <br />4.06 Topsoil <br />No topsoil has been stripped since the mine became inactive. Topsoil will not <br />be stripped until the waste disposal is approved or until it becomes necessary to use <br />the waste disposal location already approved. <br />4.07 sealing of Drill Holes <br />As mentioned previously, exploration drill holes in the PRLA block are being reclaimed. <br />Abandonment papers will be submitted when completed and should verify proper sealing <br />methods. <br />4.08 Use of Explosives <br />No explosives are being used at the mine during the period of inactivity. There <br />is an explosive storage area which is properly bermed. <br />4.09 Disposal of Underground Development [caste <br />There is no development waste pile at this mine. A pile is planned for the future, <br />however, and a site has been approved under the interim program to accomodate a pile <br />when needed. The design plan for this pile will also be reviewed during the current <br />permit review process. <br />There is a disposal pile which is proposed for when the mine enters the PRLA block. <br />This proposed pile will be constructed on BLM Land and is currently involved in the <br />agencies review process. The design plans will be submitted to the Division at a <br />later time. <br />4.12 Slides <br />As mentioned previously, there has been a block slide along the haul road between <br />mine bl and NZ. The slide was off the road and did not do any damage to the drainage <br />system or cause any concerns of 9.12(2). <br />4.15 Revegetation <br />Vegetation on the topsoil stockpiles appears healthy. Deer have been grazing on <br />the stockpiles and grasses appear short as a result. 4'he third stockpile will be <br />seeded this winter to take advantage of winter mositurc. <br />Grass seedlings are sti1Z emerging at t17e old farmers mine. This area will also <br />be broadcast seeded this winter. <br />
