(Problern Item 2)
1. The smaller tanks located aeaz the discharge pump have been moved to a slightly
different location and have been placed in a betmed containment cell that is lined
with heavy plastic.
2. The 10,000 gallon capacity tank for the crusher's electric generator will be moved
off site around the middle of May. The crusher will be taken to Paonia at that time.
At the current location the pit floor is sloping east, away from the pit sump. The
crusher and all associated equipment are at a low point in the pit floor. In the future
United Companies will conunit to providing bet7ned containment structures fated
with hcavy plastic. I would like to include the design and specifications for the
containment structures in a comprehensive Technical Revision for Pit #1. Is it
acceptable to leave this tank in place as it is for the remaining time that it will be
on this site? Can I include the spill containment design and specifications with the
other aspects of the Technical Revision and submit the whole package to you in
mid May?
3. The large diesel tanks at the asphalt batch plant are going to be changed in the aeaz
future as well. Presently, two fuel storage tanks are aeaz the asphalt plant, The
larger one is 10,000 gallon capacity. The smaller tank holds approximately 1,000
gallons and was intended to hold used oil. This tank has not been filled or used
