•
MZNE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-91-097
INSPECTION DATE_11/12/98
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS RCO
The initial phases of the larger permit will involve expanding the pit to the west and south,
then daylighting it on the east. It will then all be deepened, leaving a small bench along
the outer walls for the relocated ditches. Topsoil will be stripped and stockpiled north of
the residence. The residence will remain onsite. The operation will then move into the
bottomlands to the east.
The bottomlands to the east and northeast of the present permit area will be added also.
These will be the areas mined in the final phase of the permit. These will be deep enough
to become ponds. Few, if any, trees are planned to be removed on the lower portion, though
the ones on the present terrace slope will all be impacted.
There are fences along all the new boundaries except the east one. Most roads will remain
nearly in their present locations throughout and after mining.
There were no aspects of the plan or features noted onsite which merit extra attention at
this time. The operation appears straightforward as presented during this inspection.
Further review of the conversion application may raise additional questions, which will be
addressed as needed.
There were no problems and no other items noted or discussed during the inspection. All
responses to this report should be directed to this inspector, who may be contacted at the
address or phone shown below:
Division of Minerals
484 Turner Dr., Bldg
Durango CO 81301
Phone: 970/247-5193
I ~ E Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
CITY/STATE/ZIP
cc:
Brian Wilson
Earth/Stone Ltd.
P.O.
