Noxious Weed Plan: United Companies/Paonia Pits
1/28/03
TO: Rick Johnson at United Companies
RE: Conversation of 1/24/03 regardin gravel pit on suth side of North Fork in Paonia
CC: Delta County Planning Dept.
Dear M.r Johnson:
I have not inspected your project area because some weeds will not be visible in
January. However, my experience in the area leads me to suspect that the following
weeds might be present. This is because al] of these weeds are directly upstream,
• Canada thistle: Confirmed by inspector from State.
• Oxeye daisy
• Yellow Toadflax
A control plan for each weed is available in brochure form at the Courthouse Annex
in Hotckiss or the Extension Office in Delta. If you e-mail me with your mailing
address I can send you one. There are photos of each weed in the brochure.
I will be glad to come out in early June to inspect for these weeds.
Webb Callicutt
Coordinator, Delta County Weed Program.
