<br />along the east side of the Quarry Access Road (north of the permit area) were placed there <br />intentionally. These materials were brought by the Skid-Steer Loader from inside the quarry. <br />They were not carried down the road by runoff waters. The purpose of the berms was to prevent <br />stormwater from eroding the east edge ofthe road and areas below the east edge ofthe road. <br />Attached is a copy of Sierra's Storrnwater Management Plan. I dvect your attention to the last <br />paragraph of Page 2 for a discussion of this issue. No significant erosion in the "Quarry Town" <br />area has been observed since Sierra began operations in August of 1999.
