Estimated Condition of Condition of At least <br />Outfall Pond discharge diacharge embanlvnents and 609v <br /> (Qpm) structure inslopes capacity 7 <br />008 G 0 (large Not inspected Good Yes <br /> pool) <br />CDPS Permit CO-0062161: <br />001 Treat- 0 Good Good Yes <br /> ment <br />Recent hydrologic monitoring data were checked for compliance with the <br />monitoring requirements in Exhibit 14, Table A of the permit application. <br />All monitoring requirements appear to have been met. <br />Processing Waste <br />There was no activity on the refuse pile. The top of the pile was dry. <br />Most of the refuse on top of the pile has been graded out. The east face <br />of the pile appeared stable and there was no significant gullying of the <br />slope that has been topsoiled. The ditch at the base of the pile was in <br />good shape. <br />A small area on top of the pile was recently reworked (ripped, graded, <br />and compacted) as a result of failing compaction tests during the 2"d <br />quarter 2002 refuse pile inspection. The area is now ready to be re- <br />tested. <br />Support Facilities <br />No problems were found in the boneyard area, explosives magazine, or the <br />belt-outback area. <br />Progress on recently approved projects: <br />Northern Mining District Vent Shaft (TR-39) - A contractor crew <br />was working at the site. No problems were found at the site. A <br />drainage control berm surrounds the site. The operator's <br />representative explained that the berm will be seeded this fall. <br />Yampa Valley Electric Capacitor Bank (MR-174) - Work at the site <br />appears complete. There was no activity at the site. <br />Revegetation <br />Thistle control efforts need to be increased, especially in the Pond F <br />area. The operator brought this up with the weed control person. <br />Subsidence <br />The subsided section of County Road 33 was in good shape. <br />The most recently undermined location was examined for subsidence <br />effects. The location is at the west end of panel 13 Right. No <br />4 <br />
