III. CObIIdENT3 - COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of <br />observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement <br />actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the <br />enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology. Dave Wallace represented the operator <br />during the inspection of the surface facilities, Rick Mills represented the <br />operator outside the surface facilities, and Sandra White represented the <br />operator during the records check. With the operator's consent, this report <br />was not issued in the field. <br />Vegetation is turning brown; it has been a relatively dry month. <br />The longwall recently completed mining in panel 13 Right and is now <br />starting panel 14 Right. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS <br />All required records were available (see attached checklist). The <br />operator is commended for excellent maintenance of the records. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS <br />Mine i.d. signs and topsoil markers were properly displayed at numerous <br />locations inspected. <br />ROADS <br />Haul-roads, access-roads, and light-duty roads throughout the permit area <br />were in good condition. Dust was under control.
