III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. Comments <br />also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts of evidence supporting fhe enforcement action. <br />FISH & WILDLIFE <br />Antelope were observed, as were many deer, on the reclaimed portions of the site. Other wildlife observed <br />included coyotes, rabbits, marmots, and small birds. <br />REVEGETATION <br />Revegetated areas looked very good. Some thistle was observed on the inslope of stock pond I. Vegetation <br />monitoring is scheduled for the third week in July. <br />EXCESS SPOIL & DEVELOPMENT WASTE <br />The Streeter and Section 16 Fill and completed portions of the West Pit Fill appeared to be stable. <br />SPECIAL CATEGORIES OF MINING <br />Highwall mining was underway in the East Pit. See GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE above. <br />OTHER <br />Documents handed (June 28, 2005) to Walker by Colowyo during this inspection include a letter dated June 28, <br />2005, Re: 2005 Midterm Review, Permit No.C-81-019; and Minor Revision 73, 2005 Midterm Review.
