Excellent spring moisture and warming conditions have resulted in a <br />revegetation bonanza at this site. The reclaimed areas of former <br />ponds 15-P1 and 15P10 have a high number of large, desirable grass <br />plants, with occasional fortis (yellow sweet clover) as well. These <br />large grasses should produce abundant seed that will help to develop <br />a self-reaenerat.ing vegetative community on these areas. Western <br />Wheatgrass, crested wheatgrass, smooth brome, and bindweed were by <br />were encountered. The north facing, reclaimed contour area looked <br />green and healthy, as shown in the photograph. Cattle were not noted <br />on the reclaimed areas or in the canyon on the drive to the site. <br />4 <br />
