Riverside Reservoir and Land Company
Riverside Irrigation District
Farmers State Bank of Brush
Case No. 90-CW-189
Page 13
C. Deliveries to each Recharge Pond;
D. Evaporation/Evapotranspiration losses; and
E. Net recharge.
31. The procedures for determining each of the quantities
for the categories set forth in paragraph 30 are described below:
A. Deliveries from the Riverside System. Deliveries
from the Riverside system will be quantified at a structure known
as the "Bruce Weir," which is depicted on Exhibit A and located
in the Riverside Canal in the SW/4 of Section 13, Township 5
North, Range 56 West of the 6th P.M. in Morgan County. A contin-
uous flow monitoring device will be installed at the Bruce Weir
for the purpose of quantifying recharge deliveries to the Headley
Recharge and Augmentation Project.
B. Losses in the Riverside Canal and Antelope Draw.
The Bruce Weir is located approximately 7 miles upstream from the
Bank property. A portion of the flows measured at the Bruce Weir
will recharge the aquifer lying beneath the channel of the
Riverside Canal and Antelope Draw. These recharge flows occur-
ring upstream from the Bank property shall be quantified and
accounted for separately. In administering this plan for augmen-
tation, the following assumptions will be used to calculate the
amount of recharge occurring between the Bruce Weir and the Bank
property:
(1) Whenever the flow at the Bruce Weir is less
than 10.0 cfs, it shall be assumed that 95~ of the flow will be
recharged upstream from the Bank property.
(2) Whenever the flow at the Bruce Weir is
greater than or equal to 10.0 cfs, it shall be assumed that 25$
of the flow will be recharged upstream from the Bank property.
(3) No recharge occurs in Antelope Draw pursuant
to the water rights decreed herein whenever there is natural
surface water in Antelope Draw flowing onto the Bank property.
C. Deliveries to Each Recharge Site. Deliveries to
each Recharge Pond will be estimated based upon known pond
capacities and weekly observation of the water levels in each
pond. The total delivery to the property will be prorated among
the ponds according to their relative capacities, unless a
