Riverside Reservoir and Land Company
Riverside Irrigation District
Farmers State Bank of Brush
Case No. 90-CW-189
Page 10

24. rater rights to be used for augmentation:
50$ of the recharge credits generated pursuant to this
Decree.
25. General description of the plan for augmentation:
Water will be diverted into the Riverside Canal when the
water right claimed in Section B above is in priority. Such
water then will be delivered for storage in Riverside Reservoir,
Wildcat Reservoir, or the Recharge Ponds. Water so stored in
Riverside Reservoir or wildcat Reservoir may subsequently be
released and delivered by the Riverside Canal for storage in the
Recharge Ponds. Water so stored in the Recharge Ponds will
infiltrate, recharge, and augment the South Platte River and its
alluvium. Zn addition, when such water is so released into and
delivered through the Riverside Canal from the Bruce Weir to
Antelope Draw and through Antelope Draw to the Recharge Ponds as
described below a certain percentage of such water will also
infiltrate, recharge, and augment the South Platte River and its
alluvium. Pursuant to this plan, 50~ of the amount of water so
added to the river system will be used to augment and balance
otherwise out-of-priority depletions caused by use of the struc-
tures described in paragraph 21 above. This plan is hereinafter
referred to as the "Headley Recharge and Augmentation Project".
26. Independent administration:
The Headley Recharge and Augmentation Project will be
administered independently from the irrigation activities of the
Riverside Irrigation system, so that the historical return flow
regimen of the Riverside system will not be altered. However,
there will be temporary sharing of facilities, and in some cases,
concurrent storage of water in Riverside Reservoir and the
proposed wildcat Reservoir.
27. General description of temporary storage:
At times, water diverted pursuant to the water right de-
scribed in Section B above, may be stored in Riverside Reservoir
and/or the proposed Wildcat Reservoir on a temporary basis. The
water so stored may be released later for recharge purposes. At
other times, recharge waters may pass through the reservoirs with
no temporary storage.
