Al <br />Weaver (EFCI) was present for most of the irapectlon. fie mine Ls activey producing <br />coal and, coal was being hauled from the sffe at the time of the inspection. <br />weather and ground condltioru were dry. <br />Records were reviewed at the mine offlce. All required records were available. See <br />fire "Availability of Records" form at fhe end of this report. <br />All perimeter makers and signs were in place, as were topsoil stoclq~ile signs. <br />Roads were adequately maintained and road dffches were functional. fie drainage <br />repairs along the road to fhe Monach fan ae holding up well. Some soil had <br />soughed onto one of fire flexible downspouts fa a road culvert. That material needs <br />to be cleaned up. <br />Pond 1 contained water approximately to the elevaflon of fhe gated primary <br />dlschcxge. fie gate was closed so there was no disctwrge. Coal flues and sediment <br />from the fac(Iifles area have accumulated fn fire upper end of fhe pond and are <br />partially obstructing the inlet pipe whorl caries water hansom the yad Into the <br />pond. This material needs to be removed from the pond. <br />Pond 4 was nearly dry. <br />Pond 5 held water nearly up to the dischage elevation. fie dtschage gate was <br />cased. <br />The ponds at the loadout were dry. <br />All of the ponds appeaed to be functoning properly. No problems were noted with <br />the ponds. Silt fences at all SAE's were in good shape. <br />
