(Page 3)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1981-276
INSPECTION DATE 07/13/2006
be placed below the tank.
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEG
This inspector observed a range of debris on the mine site such as tires, rusted metal, and an old port-o-let (see photo 7). If not
being used far the active mine operation, all of this debris must be legally removed from the site on or before October 2, 2006
(see Problem No. 3 on pg. 4).
Tamarisk was observed in a small section in the pit between the mine entrance road and the area where the pond may be
constructed (see Problem No. 4 on pg. 5) -see circled area in photo 5. The Operator was advised to treat the Tamarisk while
the infestation is relatively small and localized. The Operator must create a weed control and management plan per Rule
3.1.10(6) on or before October 2, 2006. This plan should be developed in consultation with the county extension agency, or
weed control district office, and should include specific control measures to be applied, a schedule of when the control
measures will be applied, and apost-spray monitoring plan.
During the inspection the Operator asked about the required setback of the permit boundaries from the Yampa River.
According to the mine and reclamation plan maps, the western permit boundary lies at least 200 feet from the water's edge of
the Yampa at all times. Therefore the minimum setback distance from the Yampa River that must be maintained is 200 feet.
It is recommended that the new Operator obtain the entire permit file from the Division to ensure future compliance with the
approved mine and reclamation plans.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Deb E. Gbnima at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Denver
Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-4179.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Mr. RustvTavlor
OPERATOR RNP Enterprises.
