The Rimrock Mine consists of approximately seven acres of reclamation. The
weather was warm and breezy and ground conditions were dry. George Montoya,
landowner, visited with me during the inspection. He is interested in grazing the site on a
limited basis. I told him that the Division would be conducting vegetation sampling again this
summer in the third week of June and we would like him to hold off on any grazing until that
sampling was completed. Mr. Montoya should also contact the operator to coordinate any
grazing plans.
Hydrologic Balance
The sediment pond at the site was dry. Vegetation on the embankment continues to be
mostly annual weeds but shows no sign of erosion or damage. The soil material composing
the embankment is very rocky.
'.l .y '1. ~F y1 rA• n „~~ i.4, y_}r j~,r ~d-.
I 1{q r
~, t t• iJ r t i
i _ i
