III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
The entire length of the.drainage below Pond_O11A was inspected.. This.was the fustinspection
of this area since spring runoff occurred in this drainage. Significant erosion has occurred in the
drainage that was previously repaired and stabilized. A gully up to 10 feet deep and
approximately 15 feet across has reformed in the same azea of concern below the Pond 011 A
emergency spillway. This location will need riprap or other permanent repair to prevent future
erosion. The mid-section of the drainage has also eroded in sections where gullies have formed
up to several feet deep. SCC has noted these same locations on the 2005 Rill and Gully Survey.
Please fill, regrade, and stabilize the erosion that has occurred and the gullies that have formed in
the drainage between Pond O11A and 011.
Backfill & Grading
Although there were no equipment operators active at the time of the inspection, SCC has made
good progress in backfill and grading the South Valora Pit and the Scraper Pit. The slide that had
occurred in the South Valora appeazs to be fully stabilized by pushing spoil material up against
the slide damaged azea.
