I have visited the sight and found the
following State and/or County listed noxious weeds: Canada
thistle (Cirsium arvense), oxeye daisy (Chrysanthem
leucanthemum), scentless chamomile (Matricaria perforata) and
yellow toadflax (Linaria wlgaris).
The biggest problem will
difficult to get rid of.
have been successful. I am currently working with the
property owners to develop weed management programs for them
as well.
I have recommended that Valco acquire their own spray
equipment such as an ATV with a spray tank on it. There is
only one commercial applicator in town and he is very busy and
can't always be at the right place at the right time.
However, this decision is one that only they can make. I have
also recommended that if they get their own equipment, the
applicator should attend applicator training.
Enclosed is a copy of the Valco Rozman Pit
Plan.
