Lochhead
Executive Director
Michael B. Long
Division Director
On March 27, 2998 the Colorado Mine Land Reclamation Board approved your request for
substitute acreage at the Rocky Road Quarry. Specifically, the Boazd approved the use of
substitute acreage on affected lands that have received a minimum of two seedings/plantings
over a period of 5 yeazs during the life of the operation and where revegetatioit efforts on these
lands have failed. The Boazd approved the substitute acres "account" to be established only
from successfully reclaimed pre-law disturbance. Successfully reclaimed pre-law disturbance is
defined as revegetated and stable. Pre-law disturbance is defined as historic mining disturbance
that occurred at the time Permit M-85-210 was issued and has not been used in any way by
Rocky Road Investment, Inc. for the current operation. The Boazd denied the use of all.affected
lands such as roads, storage areas, minor disturbance, quarry land, or partially reclaimed land to
be reclaimed and then incorporated into the substitute acreage account.
Please call me at (303) 866-3567 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
r E~ti~l ~Z`- ~/
Thomas A.
