<br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Fish and Wildlife: <br />Browsing of Russian ICnapweed (Acosta diffusa) is evident in several areas. <br />This could promote the spread of this weed to distant areas. <br />Other. <br />There are two primary locations containing A. diffusa, as well as several <br />isolated spots. These locations are along the North Fork of the Gunnison <br />River, and to the west of the west seep of the East Portal. These areas should <br />be included in a weed control program designed to control this weed, as funds <br />allow. <br />There is one identified patch of Canada Thistle (Breea arvense) that is mixed <br />in and adjacent to the A. diffusa infestation west of the East Portal. This also <br />should be included in the weed control program next year. <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
